HOW TO REACH

BY CAR:

FROM MANAGUA:

Take the Pan-American highway to the north Hill Ocotal. Justo north of the town you Hill have the road to the right Hill Santa Clara, Jícaro and Jalapa. From here it is about 65 km on a recently paved road.

FROM LOS MANOS (HONDURAS BORDER):

Take the Pan-American highway south till you reach Ocotal. Just before Ocotal you will have to take the road on your left hand side till San Fernando, Jícaro and Jalapa. From here it is about 65 km on a recently paved road.

FROM TROJES (HONDURAS BORDER):

Take the recently paved road south via Teotecacinte till Jalapa.

BY BUS:

FROM MANAGUA:

From the central market in Managua, called  La Mayoreo direct express buses leave frequently to Jalapa. The bus fare is approximately US$ 5.50 and the trip will take 6-8 hours.

FROM LEÓN:

From the interurban bus station buses leave to Jalapa. The bus fare is approximately US$ 5.00 and the trip will take about 7 hours.

From the busstation in Jalapa you can take a cab to Hotel el Pantano (aproximately 20 córdobas).
